The myth, the legend, the infamous Mery Bear!

Hey heyy Lovies! I’m the one and only Mery Bear! I’ve been drawing and creating since my first math class in grade school when I realized I’m wayyyy better at drawing pictures then doing math!

I’ve always enjoyed drawing, painting, and writing as a way to express the creative images my mind creates. I also enjoy working with horses, jumping bridleless on my paint mare and teaching Wild Mustangs how to be excellent citizens.

Since 1996 I was a professional tattoo artist. I always enjoyed being able to translate people’s tattoo ideas into masterpieces onto their skin that they can enjoy and be proud of. I’ve traveled all over the country, tattooing as many people in almost every state that I could. Being a professional artist is the most amazing feeling.

Life took a turn in the summer of 2022, after being assaulted and suffering fractured ribs, traumatic brain injury, memory loss, vision loss in my left eye, confusion. Everything that made me the strong person I had become was broken inside me. It took a village of loved ones to help me heal and begin the journey of my new life. I can no longer tattoo as the brain injury and vision loss are long term.

I have pulled myself out of the ashes, and created a new version of me. I’m still the loving person I have been but physical changes with my brain and vision left me wondering what do I do now? I want to draw. I want to paint. I want to create. So I started painting on my purse. And another purse. Then some wallets… I became more comfortable with art with this different sight and coordination.

I’m not giving up. I’m here to create beautiful, unique, custom, and quirky images on purses, backpacks, wallets, clutches, and more!

I also want to help others who have suffered under sinister hands. In so I’m donating a percentage of each item to Futures Without Violence. Futures Without Violence is a helath and social justice nonprofit whos simple mission is to heal those among us who are traumatized by violence today, and to create healthy families and communities free of violenec tomorrow.
